Frequently Asked Questions

  • I thought dog waste fertilizes the ground, why is it bad?"
Contrary to popular belief, dog waste is not a fertilizer like cow manure. Dogs are carnivores and their diets are very different, high in protein. Many dog foods today are composed of beef, chicken and/or pork products. This creates a high acidic waste product that is bad for your lawn and can leave your back yard hard on the eyes. Cow manure is in fact good for vegetation because it in fact started out as a form of vegetation.
  • Do I have to keep my gate locked?
Our insurer has guidelines that do not permit us to jump over fences into yards. So we request that you please unlock it the day of your service. We can make arrangements that work for you to ensure we gain access on the day of service. In the event, we are unable to gain access into the service area due to a locked gate, we will still have to charge for the service.
  • Do you make sure my dogs don’t get out?
We double and triple check the gate on the way in and out. We know how precious your pets can be.
  • How do I know you are working in the yard?
The Professional Waste Specialist will be wearing approved uniform with a logo.
  • Do you provide one-time cleaning? *
No matter the event; preparation for birthday party, family and friend's bbq, reunion, or any other activities we will be happy to provide a one-time service. Note: Prices are higher than regularly scheduled services due to the amount of accumulation. We like to offer the regular weekly service to keep you from stepping on top of the pooh.
  • What happens if I want to skip/suspend service?
We understand that things can happen, just give us a call so we can make sure an adjustment is made.
  • How am I billed?
All first-time customers pay for the initial cleaning on the day of the clean-up (pending no special is running) along with a pro-rated charge for selected service. We accept money orders and credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, Discover, AMEX). After that point we send a scheduled invoice to be paid within 10 days, to avoid late fee.
  • Can my dog be in the yard?
We can work with your dog in the yard. It happens on a case by case basis. We love animals; however, after initial consultation you can help us identify if your pet is aggressive. To maintain safety for your pet, we would ask that on your scheduled visits they remain housed.
  • Do I have to have a contract?
You do not have to sign a long-term contract. We'll work hard to keep you as a customer and will count on that hard work to keep your loyalty.
  • How is my dog's waste cleaned-up?
All waste that is hauled away is bagged and disposed of in accordance to local regulations. To prevent cross contamination, all shoes and tools are disinfected between each yard with veterinarian approved disinfectant. Maintaining healthy pets and individuals is our goal/commitment.
  • What areas will you clean?
We systematically check the entire backyard and remove any dog pooh we come across. Ultimately, if a dog can go there, then our Scooper Specialist can go there. Additionally, we can check any areas and can get a clear understanding of your needs after an initial consultation.
  • Are there specific days for service I can request?
In order to maintain prices, we do schedule our normal routes to service customers across various areas on the same day. Your request for a specific day for your service will be considered. If you're not located along the routes, there may be a small additional charge. Just give us a call and we'll work around your schedule. NOTE: If your lawn is not maintained regularly, it may affect the quality of the high professional service provided.
